    Duomo of Saint Pantaleone Ravello
The simple facade of this aged church belies the thought put towards its construction. The floor slants towards the front to give a greater impression of depth, and the intricately carved marble pulpit is supported by six crouching lions. A chapel to the left is dedicated to Saint Pantaleone, and a vial of his blood is preserved and venerated there.

    Amalfi Duomo
Amalfi's cathedral was constructed in the 11th century, and has been modified over the centuries since. It is named for St. Andrew (Sant'Andrea), whose remains are buried in the cathedral's crypt. The church sits at the top of a steep set of stairs, and retains its 800-year-old bronze doors. To the Duomo's left are the intriguing Cloisters of Paradise, where the crypt can be reached amongst sarcophagi containing the remains of other Amalfi elite.

    Church of Santa Maria Maddalena
The Church of Santa Maria Maddalena, notable for its bronze doors, was erected during the XIII century to abide by the wishes of the Atrani people, who hoped for a place to worship the Virgin Mary. Mary is believed to have saved the town from unwanted, Arab invaders.

    San Francesco
The 14th-century, Arab-inspired cloisters are celebrated every summer with song at the church of San Francesco. Its arches and columns create an evocative atmosphere for the city's annual music festival, and familiar songs sound even more beautiful than usual. The 16th century portal is also a point of interest, as is the church's altarpiece, which depicts St. Francis receiving the Stigmata.
