Emerald Grotto
In the bay of Conca dei Marini, this cave is one of the many natural wonders of Campania's coast. The emerald colour of the water is created by refraction of light off the walls of the channel leading in to the grotto, and, once inside, stalactites and stalagmites of all shapes and sizes add to the eerie effect. The grotto must be entered by boat, and only if the sea is at a safe level. |
